Marek Kulczyk
Orthopedic doctorI treat disorders of the musculoskeletal system, including bone injuries and muscles, using modern methods and an individualized approach to the patient to effectively promote recovery.
Experience
I am a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Skubiszewski Medical University in Lublin (1992-1998), formerly Academia Medyczna Lublin. I started working in the General Surgery Department of the District Hospital in Mielec, where, under the supervision of Andrzej Surowiec, MD, PhD. and surgeon colleagues, I acquired my first surgical skills.
In the years 2001-2007, I finished specialization training in the residency mode, first stage in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Fr. Chopin Specialist Hospital No. 1 in Rzeszów, and then in the Clinical Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Saint Queen Jadwiga Clinical Hospital No. 2 in Rzeszów, Podkarpackie, Poland. I obtained the title of specialist in orthopedics and traumatology after I passed the state examination in 2008.
I worked as an assistant, and then from 2008 to 2017 as a senior assistant at the Clinical Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Saint Queen Jadwiga Clinical Hospital No. 2 in Rzeszów.
Since 2006, (since its opening), I have been working in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Specialist Holy Family Hospital - Rudna Mała near Rzeszów.
Currently - since 2017 - I am the Head of this Department
Professionally, I primarily focus on the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and knee diseases: from small damage and dysfunction to advanced post-traumatic and degenerative changes.
Encouraged by my teacher, mentor, and friend, Dr. Roman Brzóska, I have introduced and are constantly developing advanced arthroscopic techniques in the treatment of shoulder diseases in the Podkarpacie region.
The center I currently head is an advanced center for arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder and knee.
I constantly update my knowledge and improve my skills in numerous theoretical courses and practical training organized in Poland and abroad.
I completed training in advanced surgical techniques of the shoulder and knee in renowned centers in Poland and abroad: Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Spain, and the USA.
Od 2022 roku pełnię funkcję Przewodniczącego Sekcji Chirurgii Barku i Łokcia Polskiego Towarzystwa Ortopedycznego i Traumatologicznego. W 2023 roku zostałem wybrany na Członka Zarządu Polskiego Towarzystwa Artroskopowego na 2 letnią kadencję. Poprzednio te funkcje pełniłem w latach 2015-17.
I actively participate in orthopedic congresses and meetings, where I present my own professional experience. I am also the co-author of many scientific presentations and indexed publications.
I was appointed as a trainer to the SNACE School Smith+Nephew Arthroscopy Center of Excellence.
I am a co-organizer for the knee and the organizer for the shoulder of scientific meetings under the banner of the Bieszczady Scientific Conferences.
In the years 2020-2022, I was a member of the Audit Committee of the Polish Shoulder and Elbow Society.
I have been the Chairman of the Section of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery of the Polish Orthopedic and Traumatological Society (POTS) since 2022.
In 2023, I was elected a Member of the Management Board of the Polish Arthroscopic Society for a 2-year term. I previously held these positions in 2015-17.
